A love letter to cult noughties and 2010s indie film, the project sees the seasonal ‘Damson Girl’ become the protagonist of her own arthouse movie, transforming everyday moments into cinematic scenes. The hero film stars writer, artist and sold-out NYC one-woman-show talent Mackenzie Thomas, and is packed with Easter eggs inspired by the indie films and TV shows of the era.
At its heart, Press Play is about imagination, joy and self-expression – tapping into that inner theatre kid, the hobbies and obsessions we loved as children or discovered as adults, and the ways those things can spill into how we dress and express ourselves.
